Texas Trucking Jobs

In order to get a driving job in Texas, you need a commercial driver’s license. The age limits of general Texas CDL requirements are straightforward and easy to understand, similar to the regulations of other states. If you plan on driving in the state of Texas, you must be 18. If you plan on operating a double or a triple, operating outside of the state, or operating with hazardous materials, you must be 21.

There are various pieces of Texas licensing information that you are going to need to be able to provide, including a medical certificate that is both valid and up-to-date. You will also be expected to provide proof of identification before being allowed to complete both the written and driving skills test. The drivers test will check your knowledge in pre-trip inspections, in an off-road skills test, and an on-road driving skills exam.
